It was here that He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves saying to them, "It is written, 'My house will be called a house of prayer but you are making it a den of robbers.'" It was also here that the curtain separating the people from the holy of holies was torn in two by God from top to bottom at the moment of Christ Jesus' death on the cross of Calvary. The Temple was destroyed by the Romans in 70AD. It has never been rebuilt.
